  • Complex Beautiful Melody

I heard this song on the series Six. Loved it from the get-go!

I feel like I'm a little late to the show because I just discovered Kurt on Colbert but he is already one of my all time favs. For me this is one of those albums you can't put down and listen to over and over. Absolutely Amazing talent and great song writing ☺️ The videos on YouTube are really good too...
  • On repeat

The more I listen, the more exceptional this song becomes. At first, the immediate funky guitar riffs drew me in; then the cadence of the whole song; then the unassuming charm of the third-person lyrics. So good.
  • Amazing

Best album I've bought in a long while, from start to finish. Guy's a true talent.
  • Refreshing...

This guy is very talented and is desperately needed with all the other trash coming out these days!
  • Same Sound but Better

With Kurt Vile you know what you are going to get. And that’s not in any way a knock. He consistently puts forth dreamy and introspective tunes filled with understated humor. In a lot of ways this album feels like a return to Smoke Ring for My Halo: late night tunes with an eery beauty. But here Mr. Vile has advanced a bit on just about every front. The lyrics are more focused, the instrumentation more varied, and the album’s flow of track to track more smooth and sensical. He mixes in vibe tracks with “hits,” providing a more wholesome listening experience. All in all, this is one of my favorite albums of all-time. Beautiful, subtle, and definitely worth a number of listens.
  • LOVE IT!

Got hooked in under 30 seconds!!!!
  • Very pretty hair

I thought it was a re-issue of some lost Alanis Morrisette album from the mid 90's. But it turned out to just be a boring version of a Jason Mraz album crossed with a little Don McCloskey. Don't get me wrong, his music fits into my genre wheelhouse, but it's just boring. His hair is the only memorable thing i'll be taking from reviewing these songs.
  • Great album

Kurt Vile is extremely talented. It's only a matter of time before he gets bigger than he already is.
  • Out-freaking-standing

More focused. Better melodies. Control. Groove. Melodies. Groove. Amazing and by a mile the best album of the year so far
