  • Best CW Album So Far!!!!!

    By The Carols 3
This is album is fantastic! These new singers are as wonderful if not better than the original women. My absolute favorite is Eabhea McMahon: she has an incredibly beautiful, unique voice. This album also contains a lot more Celtic roots, along with better arrangements of the music. Please come out with more like this, Celtic Woman!
  • Very well-rounded for different tastes

The great thing about Celtic Woman is that they sing traditional Irish songs, modern music, and even the Skyrim theme, making them a very well-rounded group that appeals to many different people, the one unifying factor being their undeniable talent. I wasn't a fan of a few of the songs, but my favorites are Siul a Run, Ride On, Dragonborn, and I See Fire.
  • Great; Susan is awesome

My favorite songs are: --Ride On--It reminds me of an idea for a book I am writing. --Skyrim--It took my breath away. It's fast paced and I don't care if it's from a video game. --Tir na Nog--Oonagh is great paired with CW! --Siuil a Run--My favorite CW song. --The Whole of the Moon--a pretty Christian song. --I See Fire--A very inspiring song. The idea is the same in my books.
  • This is good, but...

I think that these women are so talented (Susan is awesome) but they could be even better if they ran themselves instead of being on display all the time. The way they describe their relationship with DD makes me feel like he's using them. The album could be much better if they were their own group.
  • The Best!!!

  • Only if You Love the Group

I would recommend purchasing this album only if you're a huge fan. Ya, it's great that they have new songs, but let's be honest... This album leaves the listener wanting more. I'm a huge fan of their A New Journey album, and I was hoping for some real gems in this new album. Skyrim is by far the best song on this album, but if their best song is a cover from a video game, what does that say about their musical direction? I'm not knocking video game composers. Nobuo Uematsu who writes a lot of video game music is a genius, but whoever is producing for Celtic Woman needs to be fired. It sounds as though they're veering away from their roots, and their trying (and failing) to captivate a larger audience. Also, their version of "I See Fire" which is supposed to be rich in harmony with dark tones was thin and weak. "Ride On" had absolutely no momentum for a song about riding a horse. It starts and then immediately stagnates. "Siuil a Run" was very pretty, but it should be since it's one of their classic hits; this version was a nice change, but I still enjoyed the original better. "Tir na nOg" for whatever reason sounded like a blend of Irish and House music. I mean, why? Why would you do that to what could have been a great song? It's just not their style! It's not what made them a multi-platinum group! These women are incredibly talented, and their song writer seems to be doing a good job for the most part. But whoever is in charge of their musical direction needs a wake up call. Their fans and the performers deserve better.
