I rarely write music reviews but had to give one for this album. Lauren's great voice and beautiful songs make this album one of my all time favorites. There's not a weak song on the entire cd. Love it!

If Lauren Daigle's favorite Bible verse isn't "All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord," it should be becasue I wonder if she would have ever made this album had she been embraced more by American Idol. And to that point, this album shows that she didn't need American Idol anyway. This is one of those defining albums, even though it's only her debut. But I think it's like the Christian version of Carole King's Tapestry or Adele's 21. And I'm glad that Lauren, as THE voice of this generation in Christian music, is writing songs like this. The singles "First," "How Can It Be," "Trust in You" and "Dry Bones (Come Alive)" all have powerful messages that modern audiences need to hear. This isn't cheap Chrsitian pop. These songs are well crafted with lyrics that are thoughful and thought-provoking, deeply rooted in scripture. Good for her. And good for us. These songs provide a powerful testimony. A+

I can't put into words the emotions that Lauren captured in her songs. Her voice is amazing and so strong. The first time I heard her voice I thought it was Adele. God has blessed this woman, and she's using that blessing to reach, inspire, and help heal the world.
  • Why Why Why

    By Mondo Shane
Why does Christian music usually just sound like a watered down version of what was popular on the secular charts a few years earlier? I love her voice, but, it sure does sound familiar, doesn't it? AND WHY HAPPENED TO PRONOUNCING R's?????
  • Goosebumps

Her voice is haunting. I've had this album for several months and she still gives me goosebumps with her incredible voice!
