This album is slightly different than the blues I was used to. My favourite blues artist is probably Howlin Wolf. This is the kind of album that needs a few listens but then you just can't get it out of your head. Absolutely brilliant album. Some songs are covered by Nirvana, Robert Plant, Led Zeppelin and others I am not aware about. Get it.

I never heard a Leadbelly recording so clear. The variety here shows Leadbelly's great range. Blues, folk, old school pop are all handled with aplomb!
