Since the 90s in country music there hasn't been a lot of substance in songwriting or music. You have to listen hard to find it. That's hopefully about to change with this new album from Tom Wurth. It's got all the makings of a chart topper and fan favorite with quality songs and the amazing vocal styling of Wurth. Great music doesn't need a label. He's a country artist, but infuses soul into every song. It has a wide range of interest musically. There's straight ahead country with "Where I Belong" written with Vince Gill that features Gill and the iconic steel sound of Paul Franklin. T. Graham Brown adds his own soulful sound to Wurth's with the gospel "I'm Gonna Build It" also co-written by Wurth. 70s love song hit maker John Ford Coley lends his voice to two gorgeous love songs. The first single was a major blues hit by the legendary Bobby Blue Bland. It's an example of the moving songs and surely one that spotlights Wurth's vocals. Notable songwriters in addition to Wurth and Gill include Jeff Cook (Alabama), Eddie Money, Tony Arata, Pete Wasner and others. Wurth has put together a project rich in collaboration and a soulful celebration of music and life. Good stuff!

This album is an apology for 20 years of what Nashville called Country music. This is an absolutely incredible album. I think this is the best studio album he has recorded - - ever! From the time the needle drops the riveting soulful harmony captures every felling you’ve ever asked for in a song. An accomplished songwriter, he has the respect of Nashville commercial country as well as the Nashville outsiders. Can’t stop listening to this record and his live show is even more amazing. His co-producers Tony Coleman and T.W. Cargile knows great sound in and out of the studio. From wonderful guest T. Graham Brown, John Ford Coley and Vince Gill added the perfect mix and feelings needed to each track. The magical music of each instrument can be heard throughout the album.
