  • Lars

It’s funny how Lars has gone almost 35 years without learning drums and only knows how to play one beat but people still like Metallica with all its flaws!!

Halo on Fire is one of the best songs they've ever put out. Period. Not budging on that. Spit out the Bone however..... I dont know how to describe that song. Every song ever made is the joke. Spit out the Bone is the punchline.
  • Unrealized Potential in Halo on Fire

I’ve heard the album and was already a fan. Recently heard Halo on Fire and realized the song has potentially unrealized potential. I think back to the orchestra collaboration with possibly a few additional instruments and you would have one of the greatest works of musical art of the modern era. Fantastic

After almost 2 years, wow where does time go, I still think this is one of the best Metallica albums ever, it’s at least in the top 5 for sure.
  • Return To Form? Nope, even better.

I honestly do not see how this album could have been any better. Seriously. Easily album of the year if not the decade. Metallica goes back to their iconic thrash style while still keeping the superior & epic lyricism Of Load, Reload & St. Anger. From “Hardwired” to “Spit Out The Bone” this Double-CD goes HARD. But the best track in my opinion is easily Spit Out The Bone, the twelfth and final track of the album. Metallica will never die! 👊🏻
  • THE BASS THAT NEVER COMES IS HERE

The bass is finally as prominent as it was on master of puppets. They are finally treating rob with the same respect that they treated cliff with. Halo on fire and dream no more are particularly bass heavy. All in all, killer album (my second favorite after master). Keep at it guys, can’t wait for 2019 (rumored new album by then)

  • A Move In The Right Direction

The more I listen to it the more I enjoy it. I'm not sure if they have totally made a 180 to where they were before but I definitely is a move in the right direction. I think this album and Death Magnetic were made to answer one important question, "If he were still alive, would Cliff still be with us and be proud to be in Metallica?" And before these two albums came out I think it would have been a no. Kudos to you Metallica and here's to more Thrash for a new generation
