  • A Move In The Right Direction

    By JarrodRM
The more I listen to it the more I enjoy it. I'm not sure if they have totally made a 180 to where they were before but I definitely is a move in the right direction. I think this album and Death Magnetic were made to answer one important question, "If he were still alive, would Cliff still be with us and be proud to be in Metallica?" And before these two albums came out I think it would have been a no. Kudos to you Metallica and here's to more Thrash for a new generation

Rock and Metal or whatever the hell this is, is so garbage. This entire album is just screaming and stupid guitar overload with no artistry and doesnt even have rythm, if you want to listen to REAL music listen to some Rap and Hip Hop

  • THE metal band is back

Great to have the iconic band of metal making more awesome music. Atlas Rise is the one of the best metal tracks I've heard in the last 20 years.
  • Their best album since '91

Metallica still rules the metal roost. Haters hate away, Metallica can't hear you.
  • The Return of Kill'em All!

I was just listen to Kill'em All; and thought wouldn’t it be great if Metallica did an album that returned to The Kill'em All sound. And tada Hardwired... To Self-Destruct! Was jonizing for some good Metal after twenty years of carp being released in the industry. Awesome cover too... Perfect; good music for for people who care about music not just metal. Spin it, NOW... I said NOW!

    The come back!
  • Stock Metallica

Updated Review: Taken this out for a spin quite a few times. The deep tracks can be satisfying. Not their best, but better than many albums out currently. Initial Review: Based on just the one released song so far, the fans are letting Metallica getting away easy this time. It's heavy, fast, and sounds like Metallica. It's got expicit lyrics. It has nothing about it that makes it better or even as good as anything on the last album (which was amazing). This sounds like Death Magnetic, but there's nothing innovative or worth paying for here. I hope the rest of the album has more to offer. In the movie, Some Kind of Monster, they're often heard rejecting recorded material by labeling a riff or a recording as "stock." Well this is as stock and bland as anything. They can do better.

Really nothing special about his album. Atlas Rise is the only decent tune. This is a third strike for Metallica. Buy the new Megadeth album, WAY better!!
