  • Super Rare Blaxploitation Goodness

For those who don’t know, the music originally created for this film - the 1973 sequel to Fred Williamson’s film “Black Caesar” - was James Brown’s “The Payback.” For reasons that God only knows, the director of the film rejected The Godfather Of Soul’s tracks in favor of THIS! With all that being said, it’s a darn good album that truly helps to guide along the action of the film. The title song is an unsung Blaxploitation movie theme classic! Edwin Starr’s vocals truly shine and the various instrumentals throughout the album will have you visualizing the gunfights that the tracks accompanied. Glad to see this album available again.
