  • Absolutely Amazing

    By DamianClark74
Fan of almost 30 years and I have waited all that time for this debut solo record. Each song is sonically so different from The IG sound. Poethearted and Fly are early favorites and love ANYTHING with Jennifer Nettles (Long Haul)
  • The Power Of One

    By Dawhitebobmarly
Far from sounding like just an Indigo Girls album without Amy's vocals , Murmuration Nation is unmistakably a force of its own, truly an Emily Saliers free standing album. Top notch production from Lyris Hung gives Emily's voice and lyrics a grand canvas to play across. Leading off with the shimmery "spider" the album freely explores genres such as r and b and hip hop--not exactly influences one might expect from a middle aged "folky". The music slinks and slithers, wails and rumbles. As for the lyrics, they are quintessential Saliers: exploring the ups and downs of love as well as digging into meaty topics like guns and zealotry. Emily is In great voice and the musicians she pulled together compliment her perfectly . Murmuration Nation is a great album and will certainly bring Emily more fans. Are YOU listening to it yet? You should be.
  • Terrific Writing

    By Drew Williams - Wright
Emily this is so over do. You write as a poet choosing the exact phrasing and the right chords. You can play anything you get your hands on. I am the one that asked you if you ever thought about teaching a class on songwriting, such as an Art College as Berkley. You paint us a picture in our heads without giving us too much information. I have watched and listened to you grow as an Artist through the years. It is about time for a solo album, I am such a fan of yours, I would love to just listen to you sing the phone book! I am so proud of this for you, I hope this leads to more solo albums to come. Thanks for the music Emily! Drew Williams
  • What the world needs now...

    By Kip Conner
I absolutely adore the balance of Emily and Amy's style. Amy provides a dark mood when that part of my brain needs to be tested. This new project from Emily is what my world needs right now though. We live in dark times and Emily dug in deep to bring us some light.

Finally a solo album from my favorite Indigo girl! I love her soulful voice and passionate lyrics. No one writes from the heart like her.
  • Bout time!

Clever lyrics, soulful sounds, groovin beats - this was absolutely worth the wait!
  • Long over due!

    By Daryn K.
Emily's solo album has been long over due. Her thought provoking lyrics and emotion driven voice has long been a favorite of mine. I have no doubt this will be my go to album for many years to come, if Poethearted is any indication of how flawless this album will be!
