Natacha Atlas is one the best singers ever on this planet. I'm a big fan of her. There is no enough words to describe how beautiful she sings... I've got all her albums. I do remeber when I first listened her song I was just amazed so deeply. Incredible talanted singer. I do recomend for all to buy her songs and albums. You won't regret, you will fall in love!!!

I love middle eastern music, and I must say Natacha Atlas's style is unlike any Arabic music I've ever heard. Very interesting I love the sounds the mixture of Arab and western instruments. For example in the song Hayati Ana, you hear the tradition lullations of middle eastern women, clapping, the 3ood (sort of guitar looking instrument), some kind of flute instrument, clapping, and then towards the middle of the song you hear electric guitar, very unique yet pleasant combination. I like artisrts who are unique and do their own thing, I would definitely categorize Natacha as one of them. Some of the tracks are a little strange I admit but over all it's a very good album.
  • A Different Departure...

I have been a Natacha fan for about three years now. And Natacha has never failed to impress. After a three year hiatus, Natacha releases a new album (her best of doesn't really count as an album). I do have to say that this was not what i really expected. There are some really good tracks here, but there are some that need to grow on me. I bet if you will listen to this long enough, it will grow on you and me. And i have to say this. THE COVER IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Tracks 8 and 9, in my opinion, are much better than the earlier tracks. The whole album is pretty good, but if you pick and choose like I do, definately check those tracks out!

I have always enjoyed the voice of Natacha Atlas, she has a beautiful way of singing that is all her own. These new tracks are not your usual Middle-Eastern pieces but a great mix of East-West sound. Whats great with iTunes is you can pic and choose the tracks you enjoy and I did just that.
