I'm 28 years old, my mother RAISED me on this extraordinary man. Blessed to have attended 5 concerts so far hoping more and each one is like just the most surreal ecstasy. When I was 5-6 I told my mom when I'm a mommy and have a baby girl I will name her Layla.. Well 20 years later I did end up having a daughter and I most definitely named her Layla. The day her father and I met it was one of the first things I informed him to.. We ever have a baby and it's a girl, ain't naming her anything else other than Layla. Lol ERIC CLAPTON has been a major part of my life his music is my life. He is just a beautiful soul, he just never ceases to amaze me.

Believe it or not, The Clapton song, Cocaine, was thought to be supportive of Cocaine for a while. In the early '90's, Clapton removed it from his song list for a while. After disappointed fans learned of this, they asked him to put it back on the list. He did, but in order to keep from controversy, he added the lyrics 'That dirty cocaine' to the end of the chorus in his live performances.

Well, a former junkie and drunkard and racist MFer, EC was flown to Minnesota to detox back in the day. Seems to have worked, and this is a decent compilation of his most popular hits. Maybe someday Robert Johnson will come back to life and go upside of EC's head! LOL!! Worth buying, but don't buy any other EC stuff...he was probably too stoned/drunk/strung-out/whatever...
  • It may be his best, but the recording stinks

I can't remember theses songs sounding as bad as they do here. I can only think they were digitally butchered while translated to the new format. I want my money back.

    maybe it's a matter of definition, but I wouldn't call these Clapton's "Best" . . . . . you younger folks reach out and find more stuff . . . . . his connection with Cream and the Dominoes are worth the effort . . . . . .
