I gotta say, I'm torn on the whole pop-country approach and how it's reshaping the genre. I respect creativity and appreciate change, but some artists have driven that into the non-country dirt. Sam Hunt is a good singer, I just wish he would stop channeling Shawn Mullins à la Lullaby from 1998 in every single song. Stop talking through every verse in every song to only sing the hook, man... Diversify a bit. Maybe try something new like singing an entire song.

No one blends genres better than Sam Hunt. Flawless production! This was my favorite album from last year (Future Nostalgia was close). Keep the innovation coming! Y’all can have your depressing, boring country from the 1900s lol (of course there are some great old country songs). Genres and artists should be allowed to grow. Kinfolks, Body Like a Backroad, Young Once, Hard to Forget, and Breaking Up Was Easy in the 90s are my favorites.

I cannot stand all the haters on the comments / reviews here. Seriously? Do not worry Sam. Haters gonna hate. That's what they do. Is it country? No. Is it pop? No. Is it R &B? No. Is it Rap? No. It is unique. Yes, you either probably like it or you don't. we are all a product of nature and nurture. Sam's songs perfectly exude that perspective, and he lets us into many of the corners in his personal world. In that aspect, it's no wonder his fans are so loyal. They feel like they genuinely know him. In any regard, his soulful lyrics are on another level compared to most other trash mainstream music out there nowadays. Keep on being yourself, Sam. You have a long career in this game if you want it!

I love Sam hunt so much, and I was so excited for a new album. Though it wasn’t what I was totally expecting, it’s still amazing. I wish he would’ve had more new songs, instead of 6 previously released singles, but every song is amazing. I love Breaking Up Was Easy in the 90’s & Young Once
