I like Pantera but it seems like some of the song is beyond his vocal range at a key point.

...but Metallica's rendition of it at the Rock and Roll HOF is superb to ANY version, including the original.
  • A great song by a great band....

First of all, hole in the sky is a very underrated but great song. It is the first song on black sabbaths sabotage. The only 2 big hits off of it were Am I Going Insane, and Symptom of the Universe. I'm very glad Pantera did such a great underrated song. Click yes if u agree.
  • A MUST buy!!!

I own every Pantera album and still almost bought their greatest hits just to get this track. One of Sabbath's best songs covered by one of metal's all-time greatest bands. Any Pantera or Sabbath fan would love this cover!

A great cover of the Black Sabbath classic. The greatest 90's band makes it debatable whose version is better between them and Sabbath. If you like any Pantera or any Sabbath, don't hesitate. Also, since it isn't on any of the studio albums, itunes is a great place to get it.
  • Black Sabbath And Pantera Go Hand In Hand!

Knowing that Black Sabbath played a major influence on the sound of Pantera, I'm glad to see that Vinnie, Dime, Rex, and Phil were up for covering a Black Sabbath song. "Hole in the Sky" is a song I would consider one of many great Sabbath songs, and Pantera was able to remake it in such a way that it honors Black Sabbath and has it's own Pantera "stamp of approval." The Cowboy's From Hell were able to surpass all boundaries and concepts for covering a song 10-fold. Listen for yourself and find out why Pantera deserves to be called one of the best (if not the best) metal bands of all time!
