My dad use to play it in the car when I was a little girl and till this day as a twenty- yr old something, I have no idea what they are saying but I love the soothing rhythm's presented through out the album. I think the fact that I can't understand what they are saying makes it almost better to listen to.

I have had it since it came out and love every track too. I love Brasilian music and this album is one of my favorites. Barabare is also my favorite song on this album. All the songs are just great. Funky Brasilian pop! (Pops out atchya!)

What a collection of true Brazilian music. One of my Brazilian friend/student, Rui gave me a cassette of this album when I lived in Brazil 15 years ago. Rui told me that I'd love this cut (Kalimba) and he was right. I lost my cassett from Rui, and now I can remember my time in Bahia. The music is diverse in style and tempo; the vocals are truly captivating and mesmerizing; upbeat and tropical.

I fell for this song whilw watching ABC's Dancing With The Stars! One couple danced a hot tribal samba to the song Magalenha and it stuck in my head! Thank goodness they have songlist on their website...I would have missed this gem of an album...I love it!
