I am not sure if agree with iTunes review above, I have given this album to people (while in stunned shock and total disbelief) who only know Buffett from his Margaritiville song (along with Songs You Can Sing...) because I think that if these two items don't hook you on Buffett then you could only be a alien in disguise. :) I have one play list that I call Albums, it is the only playlist that I have that mixes the different genres of music that I like to listen to. The requirement for the list is that I have to like every song on the album, its the "Every song on the record/cassette/cd (how old are you) is good" list and includes albums from Disturbed's first to a Johnny Horton album that my parents had when I was a Kiid. This and Jimmy's Songs.... album were two of the first on it. And Bob Roberts Society Band became one of my Mothers favorite sonds the first time she heard it sooooo there is a good chance that that in its self sets this album as one of best for all time, but of course "only time will tell........." Buy and Enjoy :)

Whomever wrote the review for this album is sadly mistaken. This album is SINGLE-HANDEDLY responsible for my conversion to the parrothead life. I am a strong believer that this is JB at his best! I hum these tunes in my sleep and I sincerely feel that Frank Bama would agree! And by the way, "Tree-Top Flier" is Buffett's best cover...
  • An instant classic.

Everything about this album fell right into place. A perfect combination of the old familiar Buffet blended seamlessly with a fresh new energized spirit. There are kind, nostalgic compliments to his great works both lyrically and in musical style. There are also fresh, inventive themes that carry us to fun new places. We all long for that one album that will bring those nostalgic memories into our modern-day lives. For me, this was the one.

A must-have album for anyone who is even a casual Buffet fan. It has a distinctly Cuban-inspired sound to it, a welcome change of pace that really adds to this collection of songs. Not Buffett's best album overall, but easily his best of the 90s.

Simply put, this is an Album that makes me feel good everytime I listen to it :) It never fails to put a smile on my face, no matter how stressful the day is. School Boy Heart is one of my faves, but then the whole album is just perfect. Enjoy!

This has some of my favorite Buffet tunes ever - I can listen to it over and over and over. I love the old classic Buffet tunes of old, but this has some very special music on it. How can you not listen to "False Echos" and not be touched by his devotion to his father, or listen to "Jamaica Mistaica" for it's sort of swashbuckling Carribean sound?

    By e bye
This was recorded after his plane crash in Jamaica. All of this CD just reminds me of the summer(the good days). Take a listen and get ready to chill on the beach. My Favorites are: BASICALLY ALL OF THEM, they're all original and easy to listen to. Plus, it is really hard to get sick of these songs.
