This is terrible. The majority of the songs on this album were good before this album; however, these remixes make me want to scour my eyeballs and roast them over an open flame. There are two main problems. 1. Poor choice of songs "How to Save a Life" is a beautiful love song. The Fray's intentions were not to help the mainstream crowd keep their energy up. Their intentions were to write an expressive song that would speak to their audience. "Shake It" is a song that already maintains an quick, steady beat. You do not need to butcher what Metro Station perfected. 2. Artist Power Music Workout is not an artist. It is a compilation album with imitators. This is Kidsbop without the children. Get some real remixes. Bottom line. This is terrible. If you want to work out to something with a steady beat, then investigate the techno scene. European is the best. Or listen to the real songs. If they are not upbeat enough to work out to, then choose a different song.

People, it's not supposed to be for parties, it's to exercise to! I think it's one of the best work out compulations I've ever used. It gives me so much energy that even after one hour, I want to start it over and continue to exercise.
  • Great workout

These songs are fast paced and different enough from song to song so you don't get bored with too many sounding the same. Great workout! Good grief! FYI for you "one star" folks: "Power Music" is always remixed COVERS by studio artists. They are "pepped up" for a consistant workout beat.
  • pretty good

the only problem with this cd is that the songs are NOT continuous

This is a really good workout album...probably better for cardio workouts than running, but it's still good music and it got me fired up.
