  • Good for German learners

I'm an American learning German. Rosenstolz is a good band for this purpose, the songs are highly melodic and fun to listen to. The lyrics aren't too complicated and repeat a lot. The songs themselves tend to be a little melodramatic or sentimental, which is fine by me. My favorite songs: "Ich bin ich" is an awesome self-empowerment anthem. "Ich geh in Flammen auf" is fun and really repetitive. "Auch im Regen" is sweeping and grand. "Ich bin verändert" is heartbreakingly lovely. The other songs vary. Listen to their videos online and see if they are your style. Me, I'm a fan. Oh, and if you like this, seek out their album "Die Suche geht weiter", which is a masterpiece.

I'd been a long-time Nena fan, but just discovered Rosenstolz this past year after becoming curious about other German bands. Never heard Rosenstolz until this year when i downloaded a few songs from this album and loved them. Now I love most of their music. I've since bought most of their other albums; I especially like earlier ones like Kassengift, but some songs are just too weird from the early days. On this album I like every song, which is unusual for me. I think their sound is unique but (at least this album) would appeal widely.

Rosenstolz is wonderful, once you get used to the sound, it melts right into your heart and leaves you shuttering. And when you know German, the lyrics are nice. Rosenstolz ist so gut! Die Songtexten sind so prima und schoen und sues! Ich liebe Rosenstolz!

Even though I don't particularly understand German, I love this album! I can tell that the songs are meaningful and deep, and that is really something due to the fact that I do not understand nor speak a lick of German! This shows that Rosenstolz's beats and songs are truley moving! Definitely worth the buy! I love it!

Rosenstolz have had many albums, lots of great songs, lots of terrible songs. This is on my list of favorite albums (any artist).... every song is good... whether you understand German or not!

One of the best albums by the best German pop band. The songs are meaningful and moving. Peter Plate and AnNa R. are an excellent duo. The album is definitely one to purchase.

This is probably one of the best German bands and albums in a long, long time. Not a crappy song in the bunch!! The music is a fascinating mix of melancholic pop with superb lyrics and beautiful arrangements. Can't miss!!!
