So, you can't buy Maggie May, Mandolin Wind, You Wear It Well and and another hit(can't remember which one) individually? Shame, to you i-tunes. If people want those songs, they have to buy the entire album. That is so wrong!!!! Also, one of Rod's biggest hit is not even in this collection. I'm talking about "Lost In You". Where is it??
  • Awesome beat

Worked out to this song (among others) during an exercise class and had a new-found appreciation of this classic! Bought it from iTunes for my FunMusic playlist soon as I got home.

These songs are some of his tops. I like "Have I told you lately", "The first cuts the deepest" I could go on. How does he keep on going he is mellowing so well. Outstanding! Fantastic!
  • lost my Brother

    By Joe11007
I lost my brother, he past away. Only a few months old, an his heart failed him. my parents held him an watched him die in their arms. Calvin Jay... they played this song at his funeral, an my mother listened to this song over an over as she cried everyday. Every now an then this song would come on the radio an she would quietly cry as she kept a straight face, and remind us that this is our brothers song. Then she was told her next child would have a perfect heart. An it soothed her pain. now it seems like this is the only thing in the world that I am able to shed a tear over. I cry because my brother wasn't given the heart I now have. Though it tears at my soul, I know I must live for him, cause part of him lives in me. I know this. I'm thankful for this song, it is my favorite...

  • Remastered is not necessarily better!

If you are a purist as I am, you will love the unedited and un-remastered works; they represent the cutting-edge technology available at the time, along with the best engineers who worked "magic" with that equipment. I am in the recording industry and there are many top singers and bands trying to recapture that old "analog" sound; it's more intense and warmer. Digital can be cold and thin, not to mention audio transients can be sometimes heard that cannot be found in an analog master. I love Rod's older albums and will take the original analog recordings any day over the digital recordings.
