Jeff Porcaro superb as always
By Reed girl 72
I guess you can say that Jeff Porcaro was an enormous talent when it came to playing drums. Not just as a cofounder of Toto. But as a session player behind many different artists with diverse backgrounds in music. Whether the genre was rock or jazz or classical. He knew what was needed to give that style of music its own unique groove. It is plain to see how truly missed he is by all that knew loved and worked with him.And forever and ever he will remain the best heartstrings drummer of all time . And gorgeous Dreamyeyed Angel🐱😂📀🎸😇💜💿💛😏🎻❤️💙📱🎷🐞💚📲🎺🐈🎹😈🐯💽🎤🎼 .
I love how his drums sing to me. Moodido (The Match) boxing theme. Te amo. Jeff Porcaro
MY favorites are see what love can do, shes waiting, forever man, and same old blues. Great comeback album for EC
Clapton does pop
Okay. Big Clapton Fan. I tend to split his music into Blues, Country and Pop Rock. This is pop rock.
She's Waiting – 4:55 (Clapton, Peter Robinson)
See What Love Can Do – 3:58 (Jerry Lynn Williams)
Same Old Blues – 8:15 (Clapton)
Knock on Wood – 3:19 (Eddie Floyd, Steve Cropper)
Something's Happening – 3:23 (Jerry Lynn Williams)
Forever Man – 3:13 (Jerry Lynn Williams)
It All Depends – 5:05 (Clapton)
Tangled In Love – 4:11 (Levy, Richard Feldman)
Never Make You Cry – 6:06 (Clapton, Phil Collins)
Just Like A Prisoner – 5:29 (Clapton)
Behind The Sun – 2:13 (Clapton)
My standout tracks are the #6 Forever Man, #8 Tangled in Love & #1 She's Waiting. This is not your 70's Clapton. He made musical changes and had Phil Collins (Genesis) produce and play drums.
What you're getting is one of the all time greats of blues guitar playing and singing. What more could you ask for? If you are guitarist and like the blues, you will learn a lot from this album.
I am a blues fan and have always liked Eric Clapton's style. As I was growing up in the '80s, my favorite album was Behind the Sun; I like every song in this album
5 star Clapton
By steve dougherty
This is a five star album and I didn't even buy the whole thing because I'm to cheap .She's Waiting,See what love can do ,Forever man, Tangled in love and I'm sure there's more!!
She made a move, I had no choice
I bought this my freshman year at school 1985, which means the abused vinyl copy I have of this hasn't seen the light of day in decades. Pretty 80's infected stuff with lots of synths, etc. However, it has its moment. The title track is a short, sad song that I haven't heard in years. Buying it and listening to it today brought back a lot of memories. A song I can't play just once. Other standouts include some great guitar in Same Old Blues and the Breakfast Club-ish Never Make You Cry. Not EC's best by any means, but nostalgia makes up for lost ground.
