Love! Headstrong or Electric Pow Wow by A Tribe Called Red would be my walk out song if I were in the UFC.

This album includes my 3 favorite Trapt songs: "Headstrong", "Hollowman" and "Still Frame". They're all great!
  • To me it's so much more.

My interpretation is that the whole cd front to back is the degradation of drug use. The track names and lyrics all seem to direct to a split personality. If you were ever an addict, hard user, you'll know what I mean. I love every song for what it portrays. New Beginning/The hidden track seems to be the sounds associated with the emptiness and darkness when you are alone and smoking rock or meth. The door hinges, water running, the sizzle of melting rocks, then BAM. Your lit. Tempo raises, you feel the drums like a heartbeat, but only for a bit. Then finally you hear the voice again, almost laughing at you for what you've become. The hidden track is roughly the same length of a crack high. Then it fades into oblivion just as your mind is doing. Many people will say that that most songs are actually love songs but I disagree. This album accurately describes the association of hate/love of drugs and all things that you love, but know are extremely bad for your physical/mental health. The album came out when I was 12 and I'm now 24.. Still moved by the lyrics and melodies. The Hidden Track is such a haunting description and representation of the vast void that is drug use/abuse. I implore you... If you've battled addiction, this album will grab your heart and wrench it dry with the accuracy of it's lyrics. Sadly, Trapt cannot seem to grasp the same sounds and depth that their freshman album did. They are only a victim of their own success. Keep an open mind with this album, it will show itself to you only if you let it.

I bought this album on iTunes this past year. I had bought the CD when it first came out in 02. Just listening to it brought back so many memories , it really got me through tough times those few years. The whole album is awesome playing it over and over. Meeting the band in Tampa Bay made the years even better.

This is by far one of my fav bands. They are always amazing, always true to themselves, and true to their fans. This album is still incredible almost 12 years after release. It is always so refreshing to have bands return to their roots and that is exactly what Trapt is doing this year with their Self Titled Tour. They are playing this album in its entirety which is incredible since it is what started their trek to stardom. Kudos guys and can't wait to see the next show in 2 days!
