Ever since the tragic death of founding Toto member Jeff Porcaro. The band and the world of music was never the same. He left a lasting legacy of recordings that featured him playing drums in sessions backing myriads of popular artists with diverse backgrounds in music. His drum instruction videos help students learn the basics of stick and bass drum techniques along with exercises and how to utilize the cymbals. But thanks to You-Tube.Music videos and interviews.feature his unmatched talent. As usual the best and a legend and surely missed by all that knew loved and worked with him He will always remain my number one favorite heartstrings drummer of all time. And gorgeous Dreamyeyed Angel.πŸ―πŸ’›πŸ’½πŸ’œπŸŽ»πŸ˜…πŸŽ·πŸ’ΏπŸŽΊπŸŽΉπŸŽ€πŸŽΌπŸ±πŸ˜πŸ’™πŸ˜ˆπŸˆπŸ“€πŸ˜ΏπŸ“±β˜ΊοΈπŸ˜‡β€οΈπŸ˜‚πŸŽΈπŸŽ§πŸ˜€πŸ˜ŠπŸ“²πŸ’š. To take advantage of their holdings, GRP released this final Patti Austin project for their label. GRP used songs from other projects Patti appeared on during her GRP tenure, the duet with black country star Cleve Francis "We Fell In Love Anyway" and the soundtrack song "I'll Keep Your Dreams Alive" from the film "Freddie The Frog" with George Benson. Patti's out of print live set "Patti Austin Live" is featured not with a track from that set, but an outtake "The Girl Who Ued To Be Me," the studio version is from the film "Shirley Valentine" and the studio album "Love Is Gonna Getcha." The rest of her studio material brought together here, although not comprehensive, her recorded output for GRP including a remix, a single, and a studio ouutake, the opener "Hold Me" intended for Patti's last GRP album "That Secret Place" released in 1994. Because of the limited material here, this cd should have been called "Patti Austin, The Best Of Her GRP Recordings." The moniker "Ultimate" should have been saved for a cross licensed collection of her hits, as if that will ever happen.
