when i hear this music it makes me so sad, i cry. its the blues baby. For all of you that know and those that don't this man has been diagnosed with life threatening disease, he will not be able to play the guitar or really anything at all. the Rolling Stones made him an honorary member. Nothing is more important than to stay in the now and not the then or when. enjoy this. a musician like this comes only once.

Becoming a teenager in the late 60s, I became a big fan of Cream. When I got my own jukebox in 1972, I had several of their songs on it. After reading his autobiography, I now I had to add this to my iTunes collection. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to these older songs again!

This has got to be one of the greatest Clapton albums you're gonna find; especially if you're into the darker, more gritty sound of his older stuff. All the good ones i know are here, tho "Tears in Heaven" and "Running on Faith" really should be represented, but they're missing.... I LOVE this album. Get a studio album like 461 Ocean Boulevard, you may miss how good Clapton really is. Buy this ablum, YOU'LL BE HOOKED.

This album excelently covers his heyday as a master electric guitar blues, it has his time with cream, deric and the dominoes, blind faith, and solo.
  • All of Clapton

    By Mr. Zuckerman
This CD covers Eric Clapton's early years and features tracks with Cream, Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominos. All the tracks on here are great. It's so hard to choose favorite songs but I would choose "Layla" and "After Midnight." Anybody notice that the first disc of "Complete Clapton" is basically this CD minus "Blues Power"? Anyway if you are a Clapton get this CD, it's fantastic.

Great collection which flows smoothly for a nice listen. Its a good album but its just a taste of the genius of Clapton. The songs on this album are not his best but rather the songs are a sample of each era of Slowhand. I would recommend Slowhand if you like the more mellow and clean songs. If you like the gritty rock, Disraeli Gears is the way to go. This is a great album and is an excellent start to any collection.
