Almost a "jagged pill"
Whether or not it was the producing process or driven by the band, this album was a missed opportunity to capitalize on the band's greatest strength - lead singer Linda Perry's voice. When given the space, as in "What's Up", and "Drifting", her exceptional range, ability to fully embrace the emotional resonance of the song's lyrics and as result, connect with the listener, are given a chance to expore and expand. When she sings "And I pray.......Oh my God do I pray", I find impossible to distinguish if the song is based on personal experience or not. Regardless, it's what makes the song a favorite. Unfortunately, the rest of the album seems intent on smothering the one flame that, if untether here, could have pre-dated "Jagged Pill" by 3 years. But, it's hard to keep good talent down and am glad to read the Linda Perry has had a stellar career in producing music. I look forward to another album with Linda as lead. And this time thankfully, she could produce the album herself.
Heman sang it better

Great stuff - great rock sound - Linda Perry, what a voice.
ONLY FOR SENSE8
I just purchased "What's Up" for the wonderful message of unity it has spread through the world of Sense8 fans! iTunes should look into adding more Sense8 content because the fanbase is growing rapidly and we NEED MOOOOOORE
Seriously!?! Get your hears checked
Why are people giving this album one star? These songs are awsome especially Superfly and Whats Up
Bigger, better, faster is a rather apt title.
I'm sensing a revival of the amazing song 'What's Up' because of it's beautiful use in Netflix's Sense8. So catchy, love it!
Terrible as EVER!!!
