I still remember placing the needle down on this for the first time in August, 1966. The Beatles were playing their second to last concert in the U.S. (Dodger Stadium) and getting Revolver was my consulation for not being able to go. What a gift. It still sounds fresh to me today. We will never again see the likes of The Beatles but their music and legacy will endure thanks (IMHO) to this album and Rubber Soul.

  • The best from the best

    By Geese1920
This album is a masterpiece by the best rock and roll band of all time. And the 53 people who gave this album one star should have their iTunes accounts suspended permanently. Seriously.
  • Nothing but Perfection

    By Crampc06
This album is monumental and shows why The Beatles have cemented themselves as the greatest artists ever.
  • The Beatles at Their Best

    By Andrewoid
This is the album that introduced a recording technique known as automatic double tracking (ADT) which makes the impression that there are two separate tracks that are panned left and right. It also showcases the Beatles at their creative peaks. It is a record where every song has a mood. It heralded the dawn of psychedelic music. It is also my favorite album by this group. It's a listening experience like no other.
  • Magic!!!

Who are the 161 people that rated Revolver under 5 stars? This is the most brilliant album ever created.
  • The Transformation Part Two: The Music

    By 956565
This is when their music really started changing. It had backwards guitars, weird lyrics, and chanting monkeys. This is is also kind of the last early Beatles album though. It was the last one with mop tops, clean faces, touring, no glasses, and no yoko. Taxman is a great opener and elenaor rigby is a masterpiece. Yellow submarine is the first popular ringo song. And your bird can sing, she said she said, and gotta get you into my life are classics. Do I have to mention tomorrow never knows. This is the beginning of the psychedelic music and the end of the mop top Beatles. This is really their last early album. This is the greatest album of all time.
  • Great, but little problem...

Taxman is butchered unbelievably by the stereo. It's vocals on the right, while literally everything else is on the left. Consider getting it in mono from "The U.S Albums". Much easier to listen to.
