  • Let it be

    By Paul meraontney
So many years after the Beatles break up most look back on this album as "scrappy" or weak especially compared to their final record Abbey road, due to this Let it be is underrated however despite the bands internal struggles this album is one of the most emotionally appealing albums the Beatles ever produced the raw sounds of "Get back" and "I've got a feeling" blend amazingly well with the title track and softer numbers such as " The long and winding road" all and all Let it be is a treasure and has excellent music and very few "filler numbers" such as "Maggie Mae"Let it be may not be the best Beatles album but it shouldn't be disregarded as their worst either

This is one of the group's last albums so there was a lot of fighting so you can't expect it to be perfect. Nonetheless there some great tracks on this. Dig a pony is a great ballad. I've got a feeling is another great on this album. Get back is an awesome rocker. Across the universe and the long and winding road are good. Let it be (song) is a masterpiece. It is a pretty good album but not their best.

This album is just SO good, I can't just put it into words. It has most of my favorite songs
  • Interesting stuff

The Beatles makes some pretty interesting music. "Let it be" I think is their best song, along with "while my guitar gently weeps" and "hey Jude". They're all pretty good tho

  • Let It Be- Connection

    By HaleHaley's224
Hello. My grandpa died when I was two. It's been hard without him. Let It Be was played at his funeral and was his favorite song. I like to think that he is up in heaven jamming out with the Beatles. I've searched everywhere for this song. Apple has never had it. Now it does. I would get the whole album but I can't. I love Let It Be and the song is amazing. It gives me a connection with my grandpa up in heaven. Thanks, Haley
  • Great album...not the greatest Beatles Album

    By Bobula
If this album was from any other group it would be considered a great album. Because it is the Beatles it is considered weak. It is almost not fair to rate it in comparison to other Beatles albums. Some of their best work is found here. Get Back is great. Let It Be is great. Dig A Pony is great. The Long and Winding Road is great. Across the Universe is very good. Those songs alone are enough to make it a GREAT album. The Two of Us and I Me Mine are both solid songs. Not sure why there are so many critics that want to down this album. Get it and be the judge yourself.

  • Say It Isn't True

    By kstailey56
I was born 1956 and I have to say I literally grew up, tuned in, and tuned out following this band from Meet The Beatles through Let It Be I was on the journey of growing up. Though it may be th last one released, (Abbey Road was the actual LAST Album they recorded togethe), Let It Be said musically what the band found so hard to say publically, they were moving on. I remember hoping it wasn't true as Lennon and McCartney were just beginning to hit their stride as unified musical genius, though many would argue they had been for a while, I disagree. Abbey Road was a merger and a separation all ot the same time. You can hear all of their individuality throughout and yet in many instances when they all came together, it sent chills up my spine, still does some 45+ years later. It's impossible to say how much greater they would have been, but no one can deny they went out on top of their game. No matter how sad it was to those of us who shared their musical journey , I still cherish the genius, albeit the tip of the Iceberg, that they shared with all of us. When you combine Let It Be with Abbey Road and listen to these master-pieces back to back uninterupted, you will know, understand, and only imagine how far they had come and har far they could have gone. Their individual influences on these albums they were great, but when they came together, (and only by understanding and being able to truly recognize their different influences on their music can you "Get It"), It was nothing short of magical, and NOBODY Could touch them in performing at the pinnacle of a passionate, almost orgasmic musical release. Yes, they were that good.
