My uncle gave me this CD from his collection when I was 14, made me love reggae music. Everyone should listen to Toots. So stoked to see them at Wakarusa this year.

While Toots Hibbert certainly deserves to be labelled a 20th Century Master, he also deserves to have better quality versions of his classic songs on his Millenium Collection. Shame on Island/Def Jam for not getting hold of his best tapes for this compilation. The songs are right. Funky Kingston, 54-46, Pressure Drop, Sweet & Dandy should all be included in any Toots collection, but other CD's (on iTunes) have much better engineered versions of these same songs, which clearly sound much better. Go to his "Essentials" CD if you want to get the good stuff!
