There's only one song I really like, because it's the only one that they included his voice. The rest are'nt even recognizable to the originals. Not anything like the gorgeous music Andrew Belle makes.
In my opinion, Andrew Belle has one of the most stripped down, touching voices in music with beautiful lyrics and composition. Creating a remix album for his style is an adventurous path anyway, but transforming a fantastic original album to this dreadful and plain God awful noise takes away everything there is to love about Andrew. If there is one thing not to buy, it is this album. Listen to the real Andrew.
I love Andrew Belle
I love Andrew Belle I have every song he has come out with. I told myself I could never hate anything he came out with well I was wrong I am not sure what happend with this CD. I had really high hopes it would be good because I actually liked The remix for All those pretty lights. This was a let down but I know his new album will be good.

I have been an Andrew Belle fan for years and really admire the creativity of his work. I hate to see all the negative reviews of this album because it is nothing short of phenomenal! These songs are SUPER re-done - therefore, they shouldn't be held in the same light as Andrew Belle's previous stuff. In respect to dance/electronic/remix music, The Ladder (Remixed) is very high caliber! I have dabbled in electronic music production and can say from experience, that the production of this album is VERY good.
All this being said, these aren't the Andrew Belle songs that you turn on to sing along with. That's not their intent - they've got a different life in them (an awesome one). Try putting on some headphones, turning up these remixes, and doing some math. Play them on a loud speaker system and have a dance party! I'm a college student and this album is a go-to when it comes time do get away and do some homework.
Adventurous production, inspiring creativity, and a continued proof of Andrew Belle's artistic integrity.
Perfect chill music. Love it! :D
Good but originals are better
As a dance teacher I love that Drew's remixed the songs bc I can use them in more classes, but the originals are even better. Definitely not a waste to buy though.
Strongly encourage you to buy Andrew Belle, especially The Ladder, but this is horrible.
Awful. The original tracks are amazing. Why add these beats to such beautiful songs? I'm an avid Andrew Belle fan and this just doesn't cut it.
Good remixes but drifted too much.
I went and saw Andrew live in Dallas at the House of Blues. I wasn't expecting there to be any change to the studio version of the songs but there was a dj there that he mixed with throughout the entire concert. It was spectacular and I greatly enjoyed the hybrid mix. This album is interesting and I am sure it took a lot of hard work, however I feel as though it drifted too far away. Now I haven't been able to listen to the songs all the way through, but the previews that iTunes provides make the tracks sound as though they have no lyrical content from Belle's original release. I love "Ladder", "Static Waves", "Reach", and "My Oldest Friend" on the original cd and what made those songs great were the lyrics. However, in these remixes (sans "Reach") there is little lyrical content (that I can tell). So I could be completely wrong and will look for the songs in their full entity but if I'm not then I wasn't the biggest fan of this release. This is just my opinion, so take it for what its worth. I love Andrew and his music and I am eagerly awaiting his release next year.
The great just got greater...
