Might be their best studio album. Sawdust is my favorite and this is my second favorite.

Nothing like their earlier work. Just a bubble gum pop album with no edge.
Where are they going?
What happened to the greatness of this band? The sound on their first two albums was so fresh, now with this album they sound more like 70's corporate rock..
What a Joke!
By Ex-Killer Fan
I think it is a joke to see people give this albuma anything over 2 stars! It seems to me that some people are rating the album with some sort of wishful thinking, like if they say it is four stars on Itunes then maybe it will somehoe morph into an album worthy of their bloated rating.
I remember I loved the Cure growing up and after disintegration I still bought their albums, but not because they were good, but rather because I had this need to be a "loyal fan", the "I heard them first and I am still here" syndrome. Thats what I feel many Killers fans are doing here. Look I LOVED Hot Fuss, Sawdust, and to some extent Sam's Town... but to even attempt to convince yourself or other listeners that this album is even close to those albums, well you are definitely suffering from the "I heard them first and I am still here" syndrome. Be Honest with yourself and others, this album is GARBAGE.
I think I read a review that summed it up well..."sounds like Meatloaf meets Pet Shop Boys"... that hit it on the head for me.... and let me tell you Meatloaf stinks as do the Pet Shop Boys...and to listen to a mash-up of the two is even more hideous than to listen to the originals.
Time to hang em up Killers...or try to catch that Hot Fuss lightning in a bottle one more time, which seems unlikely.
Their best album, hands down.

Epic this is a master piece!!!!
Its Pretty Good...
A pretty good album for the most part not the best I've seen from the killers but still I enjoyed this one...One more question though... Battle-Born or Grey-Mane?
What a wonderful album!?!
I've been a huge fan of The Killers for the past 5 years since I randomly came across their songs "Mr.Brightside" and "Somebody Told Me" and "Bones. I have listened to almost all of their albums and love how each album has a distinct sound yet they manage to still experiment with different musical styles successfully. Even though I'm not a huge fan of country genre music...The Killers latest album, Battle Born, is just fricken fantastic! The Killers is one of my favorite rock bands! All of their albums I love with is a rarity among my rock bands! You can clearly see their maturing and progression as artists with each album they come out with! I'd love to see The Killers live in concert one day...I have no doubt it would be spectacular!
The Killers Did it Again
It's nice to hear an actual band play actual music these days. The Killers have truly outdone themselves here. Here's my Track by Track Review:
Flesh and Bone (4/5) It's a cool song, and unlike anything The Killers have done before. Great way to start it off.
Runaways (10/5) This is the only song I will rate above 5. It's amazing to hear the entire band going all out here (check out the music video as well if you can).
The Way it Was (5/5) Another great song to add to The Killers collection. Lyrics are great.
Here With Me (3.5/5) A nice ballad, but when compared to the rest of the album it seems to be lacking in energy more than others.
A Matter of Time (5/5) Great lyrics here as well. I like how he uses "Falling back on forever" here and in Miss Atomic Bomb.
Deadlines and Commitments (3.5/5) Good lyrics here too, but it doesn't really stand out to me that much. It's no filler, but it has to be compared against several more amazing songs.
Miss Atomic Bomb (4/5) Another very cool song. It's awesome how they connect it to Mr. Brightside.
The Rising Tide (4/5) Still exceptional. Can the rest of the album still be as good as the first part?
Heart of a Girl (2/5) So far no. It feels like the creativity is running short on this one. My least favorite on the album.
From Here on Out (5/5) This is a great spot for this song. After the slower Heart of a Girl it's good to hear a shorter, more upbeat song. Very Catchy as well.
Be Still (4/5) Good thing From Here on Out was before this. Very slow, but also very heartfelt. Mr. Flowers sounds great in the best ballad on the album.
Battle Born (5/5) Awesome way to end what I consider to be The Killers' best album so far. Guitar here is great, and I like how it slows down toward the end. "The season may pass, but the dream doesn't die."
In conclusion, Battle Born has anthems, ballads, and everything in between. This is the only full album I've ever bought on iTunes, and it was definitely worth every penny. The Killers Rock!
