This is my favorite album of Bon Scott Ac/Dc Every song is gold. Worth buying and listening to it all. When done with this one you can go get the other two great albums Dirty deeds done dirt cheap and Highway to Hell.

NOt thier best but close. If you are looking for great solid, simple bluesy rock and roll there aren't many albums better. Its a long way to the top, The Jack and TNT are among their best.

Officially this wasn't AC/DC's first album - that would be the so-so Australian album of the same name with a different track listing - but it was the first released to most of the world. It didn't make much of a splash Stateside at first - like most of the band's pre-"Highway to Hell" output it took the worldwide success of 1980's "Back in Black" before being embraced by the masses. "High Voltage" is full of classics to be like the infectious "It's a Long Way to the Top" (still the only rock song that comes to mind featuring a bag pipe solo), the rollicking title track, and the shout along crowd pleaser "T.N.T". Also featured are longtime 70's concert opener "Live Wire", "Rock and Roll Singer" and the bluesy ode to VD "The Jack". Only "Little Lover" and "She's Got Balls" fail to hold up to the standards set by the rest of the album, coincidentally the only two songs taken from the aforementioned lackluster Aussie version. It took a few years to get noticed, but "High Voltage" is classic AC/DC.
