  • This is okay, kids.

This is peak 90s Metallica. A mushy middle between Black Album and Load. Let's face it, fans, 90s Metallica was the band as its most overwhelmingly commercial success, and they rode the lightning in that bottle. 20+ years later, it's easy to get nostalgic listening to these once-fan-hated tracks.

  • Metallica In Their Prime

To me, this is where Metallica truly peaked in Lyricism, Tone, Production, Melody & Riffs, Concept, Story, etc. Load & Reload are easily two of their best albums, but Reload edges it out in my opinion. Everything on this record just flows. Not a single bad track on the thirteen-track record. Every Metallica album is fantastic but this is easily their finest work. If you have not been willing to give 90’s Metallica a chance, give The Memory Remains, Fuel, Slither, Or Bad Seed another listen. I promise it is worth it. Keep creating masterpieces, Metallica. 🤟🏻
  • Not Metallica, but definitely worthwile

The Unforgiven II is one of the best songs Metallica has released since the original Unforgiven, and the rest (The Unforgiven II included) is obviously Load-esque, but better. I think Metallica realized that the Load sound did not work well, but they didn't want to scrap the tracks they had that didn't make Load, and didn't want a bi-polar album, this is the result. That's respectable, and so I give this four stars. Load also is not bad, it's just not Metallica's best work, for sure.
  • Greatness!!

Again, so many people just want another version of MOP or AJFA, but this is an outstanding work! James shows that he can carry one of the biggest bands in Rock history without the genius of Cliff Burton.

  • Terrible album, but better than Load

    By IronMaidenRocks
Load and Reload both sucked, but Reload had 2 decent songs: Fuel and the Memory Remains. If you really wanna know what the real Metallica is, listen to their first four albums
