If only they still made albums like this!
Eric Clapton holds a very highly ranked spot in my favorite artists, this album is a perfect example of his phenomenal work. Every song leaves you needing more and more Clapton. Perfection.
I especially love the song, Greyhound bus, which brings back a lot of memories of the days when I use to go to the clubs in Nassau,Bahamas. Tom Goodwin and Don Le Page performed and wrote it! Great memories!!!!.
Thanks Eric for putting the song on your Album, great memories!
I was 14 years old and this is the album that introduced me to Eric Clapton. A great remaster. Its worth the money for the live show and unreleased songs, let alone a classic Clapton album that has aged very well. Treat yourself to musical greatness.
Clapton is Clapton!
In a period in his career where his singing and songwriting really started to mature and come together, Clapton released Slowhand in !977. I'll keep this review short and simple. The album has held up well through the years and the remastering brings a bit more clarity in the sound without sucking the soul out of it. The accompanying live show from a 77' Hammersmith Odeon performance is an added treat. Performed with his strong touring band at the time, the show is well worth the price on it's own., Hearing some rarities like Sign Language, Steady Rollin Man and others live with good sound quality makes the deluxe edition of this classic album worth getting. For new fans and longtime fans not just completists!
