finishing Wrath of the Khans broght me here.

Mindblowing stuff. It's particularly fun to the beginnings of Dan's guidance into what will eventually become Wrath of the Khans. This episode altered my perception of that region of the world.
Like reviewers have already said - one of the best
If I was telling someone what to buy first, this would be one of the firsts along with Ep10 and Ep17. Truly epic and engaging.
One of the Best
This episode is one of the best most evocative descriptions of a place in time I can see through this narrative.
Easily the best and most engrossing of Dan's early podcasts. Steppe Stories describes in great detail the cultures and peoples that emerged from that "womb of nations." From the Scythians to the mighty Mongols, Dan touches on the most important tribes that came from the steppes. Highly entertaining and informative and one podcast I can easily re-listen to over and over again. If you enjoyed Dan's epic series on the Wrath of the Khans you'll enjoy this as he discusses their forebearers.
