  • GOAT?

Ka has quickly become one of the best to ever do it. He's Doom if he rapped about Nas' young life; But better. I never write reviews, so buy this man's music. If he's ever able to move on lyrically/content and apply a higher perspective than the street level, he's destined for the top of the underground.
  • Great music! One of my favorite!!

A true poet! Incredible lyrically, as well as musically! One of my favorite! Metaphors and word play that actually make sense and show a range of knowledge and experience very rare these days! I also support Ka and buy the full album from him every time one drops because I know that it's quality over quantity! Ka is genuine and original! This is quality music and I greatly appreciate all of his work!

  • Just hip hop

I first heard of Ka a few years ago when the Cold Facts video dropped and I've been a fan ever since. Dope lyricism, dark production, and one of the most haunting voices I've ever heard in hip hop. The Night's Gambit is another great project from him. I love artists who improve from album to album, and that's definitely the case with Ka. Not saying he was ever wack of course, just that you can tell he continues to master his craft.
  • Best Hip Hop Album of the Year

KA dominates the game with his fantastic lyricism, beats, flow and dark tone. He actually handles really serious stuff in very effective ways. If you have been disappointed by hip hop this year check this out, its fantastic.

The atmosphere on "The Night's Gambit" is unparalleled. Every detail plays its part. Like a drive through twilight streets in the rain. One of the best albums of 2013 so far.
  • Stunning

    By Fang Cheah
Transfixing, super-minimalist beats; dazzling, hushed lyrics that deserve replay after replay -- he pays tribute to '90s outer-borough rap values and sonics without ever getting remotely corny or crusty about it. One of the finest albums of the year, for sure.
  • The Genuine Article

A nice surprise for the summer. KA stands in a very small class of emcee's that are able to hold a listener's attention throughout an entire project. The "calm flow" actually draws you in as you listen. The beats are well crafted by the man himself. Minimal but strong beat construction... There is definitely a difference sonically between "Iron Works" & "Grief Pedigree." At the same time the lyrics are drawn from the same landscape he hails from... BKNY All Day!
