Actually these are re-recordings. But that is ok because all the orignal band members including Vince Gill are on these tracks. The new recordings are faithful to the originals and in some cases the playing, singing and especially the recording and production are much, much better. The real bonus is the three new songs at the end all written by Craig Fuller and similar to the songs he did with Little Feat more than that of PPL. If you are a PPL fan this is a must have. Take a preview listen and you will see what I mean.

I saw Pure Prairie League recently and they were selling this CD. Got to chatting with the wife of guitarist/vocalist Donnie Lee Clark, and she said this CD is a re-recording of the songs, not the originals. I bought it to support the current touring lineup, and it is serviceable, but I’ll stick to my other PPL cds.
