Their live recordings are even better than the studio versions.. I doubt if any other band can match the Beatles in talent and passion...😊

First let me say, I'm 24 and I am a Beatle freak. I grew up on this music and love it more every day. One of the few bands that can give me goosebumps when I listen. John's voice has so much emotion in it, it truly can make you cry. This group even 50 years later are still being listened to. Long live the greatest band, ever!

I grew up with the Beatles, twelve when they stepped out of the plane. They defined my and many generations after the sixties. I memorized their songs. I really believe that the music you hear as a young teen effects your life, it did that for myself. Now hearing that music in a more raw form is such a amazing experience. I'm taking on a dream I had then to learn how to play the electric guitar. What an experience to hear it raw and say I can play that, the Beatles to me are simply outstanding. They have withstood the test of time. Enjoy this album, it's a real treasure.

On February 9th, 1964, I (along with milions of other baby-boomers), I watched 4 young men perform music on a television program. There was something about them that made them special. Their ethereal quality pushed them out front of other performers of the day. They dressed different. Their hair was different and their music produced a euphonic sound which expressed the ethos of a young generation, still recovering the loss of a much loved president. The following day, the world had changed. Throughout the past 50 years I've listened to The Beatles on vinyl, 8-track, cassette CD & ITunes. No matter what your preference, this album is a must for any new or older Beatle fan. It's raw, it's original, exciting, and for heaven's sake...it's The Beatles!! You can't go wrong.....thanks for the memories.

This collection seems to be more chronological than Vol. 1. It seems like Apple has made a decision to hew closer to their original chronological releases (even though some of the songs were released later). This makes this collection an alternate history the Beatles early releases; Please Please Me, With The Beatles, and parts of A Hard Days Night. I’m inclined to believe that Vol. 3 (if there is one) will follow the same logic in that it will follow the general sequence of their official releases Beatles For Sale, Help, and Rubber Soul. Overall, the sound is very good even though in Mono. I’m reminded that these guys were very good live given the limitations of amplification, lack of overdubbing, and the absence of the multi tracks. It’s a marvel of the day and I can only imagine that their music must have leapt off the radio. Their sound (now taken for granted) was absolutely revolutionary at the time. Who could have imagined a pop group capable of writing and performing their own music and having the balls to put forward a vision that has been unmatched since? The confidence and raw power is breathtaking. Put into the context of the time, these guys were simply geniuses.

The album shows the Beatles raw talent and wit. Enjoy rockin' songs and laugh with the Beatles when they talk with Rodney Burke. The Pop Profiles are a great way to know each of the Fab Four. They tell us where they plan on going in their music and little stories from their childhoods. Just an overall great album and I suggest that all Beatle fans buy it.
