This is my favorite album that Evanescence has done! It's such an amazing array of musical talent - definitely a "drive with the windows down and feel like a bada$$" type of album!

Jolie Lives-4-13-17 Do you know that feeling when you stumble upon a song you have adored for forever and you find it? Well I finally found it and a whole hell of a lot more incredible songs to boot. I seem to screw up the Titles of her songs. I know throw me to the wolves. That's Ok, real wolves and I seem to understand each other better than others. What I continue to admire about her voice, is how she can instantly capture a feeling with her vocals and πŸ’₯ boom, drop you into it. I admire her capacity to make rage seem as eloquent as beauty. Her ability to continue to hone her immensely powerful voice, which you can hear from Immortal to the last song on this album (crs hits). Both incredibly beautiful ballads, yet she has finally found her own fearlessness in this album. Even though I am not yet comfortable adding every song on this album to my Library, they're all bloody amazing. How long has it been since you've needed time to grow into a tiny dark Angel's Music? Personally, I adore being challenged, especially by music. It's been far too long! But wow, what a voice she has and it's just going to continue to grow more amazing now that she's had a child! Absolutely Fearless!!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  • Not as good as Fallen, but I'll take it

Ok, so this album's good, with raw emotion in each song. I wish I could listen to Snow White Queen, my parents won't let me tho ):(. But what does Amy mean in Sweet Sacrifice/The Only One when she says sacrifice? I also didn't care for the tune of Good Enough. My favorite is Lacrymosa. Not near as superb as Fallen/Anywhere But Home, but I'll take it.

  • A More Mature Album

To be honest, I was not that impressed with this album at first. However, after giving it a few listens, it really started to grow on me to the point that I love it even better than Fallen (which is an outstanding album in its own right). Evanescence is not afraid to grow in their musical expression with this album and its β€œmaturity” shows in the song lyrics and the more developed musical performance. Now I find myself listening to this album several times a week and never grow tired of it. I could listen to Amy Lee’s singing all day long. Enchanting.

...but upon second listen, it was great! While it will never compare to 2003's "Fallen", this is still a fantastic album! Darker, more haunting, and yet...beautiful. However, if there are some people that can't get through the change between "Fallen" and this album, get "Lacrymosa". That song sounds like it should belong on "Fallen" but it does has an "Open Door" twist to it.
  • Awesome album
