  • Takes me back...

...to one of the my favorite periods of time in undergraduate school. I actually found this in my CD collection today. After nearly 20 years (and myself being spoiled by technology), the disc had lost its mirror surface, tarnishing with hundreds of swirls of scratch marks, it skipped and you’d hear that old spinning sound the CD player makes when trying to find the next clear spot that will play. Very happy to purchase again, and like my former 19–year-old self, I put my headphones on and listened to the album and stared at the ceiling.

There is a missing track that appeared on the original CD album. Wish it was here

I can't even believe this album is almost 20 years old, even still, it's still my favorite album of all time. I can't even stress enough how amazing the lyrics, melodies and beautiful vocals are. Buy this now. Don't wait, buy it. Do it NOW! You won't be sorry. This will be your new favorite, it never gets old!

I can’t remember how exactly, but I was introduced to David Gray and White Ladder through the Dave Matthews Band, with only hearing one song I purchased his CD (back then before digital music) and fell in love with it instantly. I have seen DMB around a100 times and love their concerts - BUT the best concert I ever saw was David Gray. He is a truly amazing artist with a unique sound that seems to always sooth my soul.

In my mind, one of the 10 best albums of all time. Period. End of disscussion. I hope and pray he comes back to Cincinnati

White Ladder was my first introduction to David Gray and I couldn’t have been more thrilled. The album has a unique sound and showcases Gray’s song writing beautifully. A little electronica boosts some of the songs out of the “singsongy” category and into the soundscape stratosphere. The bones of the White Ladder are solid song writing and catchy lyrics and chorus lines that will have you singing. The album, although, has its bouncy melodies, is not “happy”. If you are in need of a good cry, try this. If you are in need of an amazing record to fill your soul, try this. If you need a solid go to album that you can play in the car, at home, in the shower, while cooking dinner or just about anything else, try this. You won’t be disappointed! I promise!

I have been a big fan of David Gray's from the beginning . I don't know people couldn't love his music; he's a soulful artist with a unique voice. If you appreciate all kinds of music this is a must have for any music collection. "Babylon, Please forgive me, Sail Away and Say Hello Say Goodbye" are bit a few gems on this album.
