It's so classic indeed that I could listen to it over and over again.
  • Absolutely fantastic!

  • Incredible

What an incredible artist. I listened to her in the 80's as a pop artist, and was reintroduced to her when she sang a tribute song for American Idol. I rediscovered her on Vevo tonight and fell in love again.

The song "I put a spell on you" sounds much better on the YouTube video than the ITunes version.

In a world of artists who can't sing, it's refreshing to hear someone who actually can.
  • Haters Gonna Hate But

Most likely they have no talent to back up the hate. Annie Lennox could sing the phone book and make it fresh. If you want Billie H. Then listen to her version. This is Lennox's choice and interruption. She is uniquely herself and that's what makes her wonderful. Great collection of songs and it just makes me want more. Thank you Annie Lennox for YOUR talent.

I've read a number of the more negative reviews and don't understand them. It's as if these people are not listening to the same album. Annie Lennox has always been a great singer. I can now say she is a great interpreter of song as well. She has brought freshness and a 21st century sensibility to these classic songs. 2 huge standouts "I Put a Spell on You" and "Summertime" are definitive recordings for years to come. The simplicity with which she approaches each song brings new meaning to the material. For instance, some people have said she should not be singing "Strange Fruit" because she can't possibly understand it. I've got news for you - she proves you don't have to be black to understand what the words mean. She paints a haunting scene of pictures we've all seen but don't always want to remember because of their shear violence. It's just as relevant in the 21st century as it was in the 1950's when Billy Holiday sang it. And for all the naysayers who have said the song choices are boring, well let's just say you have no clue what true artistry is.
