How can a song make you feel so deeply and tear your heart out? Diana's arrangement and performance are original, powerful, and superb. This song inspired me to take piano lessons.

Wish I had been there! Great song selection and great performances by all. Even the audience reaction lends excitement to this album. I have played this album many times. "East of the Sun" has emerged as one of my favorites. Written in 1934 by Brooks Bowman, a young Princeton University student at the time. After graduation, Brooks went to Hollywood to become a professional songwriter, however, his career cut short in a car crash........ killed at age 23. I believe Brooks would be pleased with Ms. Krall's rendition of his song.

This jazz pianist and vocalist is exquisite -- her sound is haunting and genuine; the best piano bar sound around; quality on a universal level.

This was my first Diana Krall album. I now have a new love in my life. I have since purchased all of her music, my wife and I will play her for hours and drink wine and just spend great time with each other. Awsome
all-time FAVORITE.

Diana Krall is my favorite singer and this album is, i believe the best. Other fans might disagree and say Look of Love is. I do not like it because it is live, but mainly because it is a great compilation of songs. AND it has my favorite song "A Case of You" on here.. great performance.. can't go wrong.

A classic song stylist
5
By Gary the Writer
A "song stylist" is a musician who makes a song his or her own during a performance. Nat Cole, (Early) Tony Bennett, Ella, and Mel Torme were some of the best. Modern pop singers have confused the number of notes they sing on a single beat with styling. But, Diana Krall is the real thing. When she sings out of the original rythym or adds chromatic riffs, you think, "Yeah! It could have been meant that way!" Everything fits like a glove vocally and the ensemble is as good as it gets. Even if you never listen to jazz, get this album!
Great Live Album!

Just amazing when you turn the volume really loud. You can feel the beat, the base, and Krall's voice - simply wonderful.

I watched this concert on the Ovation channel and it was fantastic. The only problem is that she sang some songs that never made it to the CD. How come?
