One of the great albums jimmy put out "before" he went total commercial, little miss magic was the father daughter dance song at my youngest daughters wedding. Reminded me of her when she was little growing up in key west. BJB / before jimmy Buffett.

This is, I think, my favorite Jimmy Buffett album. Every song on here is worth listening to, and some are downright masterpieces. Everytime I hear Island I get goosebumps. My dad and I danced to Little Miss Magic on my wedding day. They are songs that have truths about life. If you like Jimmy Buffett, especially if you prefer the "beach" sound to his "country" sound then you should buy this album.

I WORE THE TAPE OUT! Now I have CT on CD Forever (thank you mom). Of the many times I have lived in New York, this album always has brought me back home to Florida. Now I am HOME TO STAY (thanks Jimmy)!

As a long-time Buffett fan, I go back and forth over which album is the best. Invariably, Coconut Telegraph usually arises to the top. The songs on this album are lyrically superior and possess universal truths about life. The connections Buffett makes with the music on CT are lasting and provide that "yeah, i know what you mean" kind of feeling. For anyone wanting to give Buffett a try for the first time, I certainly recommend CT as a great listen.

I've never been a big Buffett fan. Talented? Yes, by all means. I just didn't get that much from his music. And I was raised in south Florida; go figure. But, some random night while in college, I heard "Stars Fell on Alabama" and purchased the album the next day. Ever since then, it's been the ONLY CD I have of his and I love it. It's by far probably the sweetest and most mellow of his works. "Incommunicado" talks of getting away from different viewpoints, "The Weather is Here, Wish You Were Beautiful" has lyrics I still quote at people and the very lovely "Stars Fell on Alabama" and "Little Miss Magic" (which was about his daughter at the time). This is the perfect CD for a rainy afternoon with just a book and a gin and tonic. Thanx, Jimmy....for the sweet treat.
