This is Buffet's best. I have a screenplay that uses each song. "We are all somewhere over China" is the poignant conclusion of the title track. It is the theme that easily runs through the album and my story. This album was wonderful in 1987 but is more timely now than ever. Look for it in a theater ....... someday....... One of Buffett's many fantastic albums try songs 3, 4, 5, 8, and the best is number 9.
  • Underrated record.

The record holds fond memories for me. I always thought it was underrated. It kind of got lost in the the post Son of a sailor / Volcano era. The title track is a good fun song of wonderment. Steamer, I Heard I Was in Town, and Slow Boat are also strong tracks. I enjoy this album... maybe you will too!

While not his finest, it's still very enjoyable. The title track alone makes the album; I bought the "record" when it first came out and have never been able to go more than a few days without getting it out of my head, I love it. The other songs, as I mentioned, are okay, but "Somewhere..." bumps this up to four stars.
