I don't understand why drinking town with a football problem isn't better rated! It's probably my favorite song even though I really like a few others
  • Not that good

In my opinion: Most of the songs on this album are good, which is surprising. The reason that it’s surprising for me is because most of his recent and older albums weren’t good at all, especially Little Bit of Everything, man, that was a bad album. My favorite of the album would be for sure, the lead single from the album, ‘Don’t It’. I like this album a lot. Though, I feel like this album was going for more of a summer vibe, you can tell from the title of the album, Summer Forever, though it failed to do that, especially Soundtrack. That song failed to sound like a summer song, it failed to even sound good. Most of the songs don’t sound like summer songs, but it ain’t that bad. I guess ‘Good Night’ was one of the songs that sounded most like a summer song, with it’s summer beat, and fast tempo. I actually really liked that song. Most of the songs on this album sound like their brought up a couple of frets, or they are in minor keys, which kinda screw the album, and make it less summer time-ish. They are also not that fast. I can’t say that the riffs on Soundtrack are that bad, but some of the telephone sound vocals on the interlude, when he repeats himself don’t sound good. Also, the 3-note riff that occurs on the chorus, with the muffled guitar. I don’t mind the riff on the chorus, but I don’t like how the riff is on the verses, at all. The riff is a chorus riff. There are a lot of things to dislike about this song. I don’t mind the steel guitar, but the riff is not my favorite, along with the rapping on the verses, that’s what destroyed the song for me. Billy Currington isn’t that good of a rapper. Then the weird sounds come into the song. Horrible. This song is probably one of the worst Billy Currington songs ever, probably not worse than 'I Shall Return’, 'Heal Me’, ‘Everything’, and ‘Every Reason Not To Go’, all songs off of one of his older albums, Little Bit of Everything. Those were horrible. ‘It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To’ doesn’t fit bad on this album, while not having the summer vibe, which none of the songs have, though. ‘Do I Make You Wanna’ probably sounds most like a summer song off of this album, at least for me, the chorus sounds like Florida Georgia Line’s ‘Here’s To the Good Times’. It’s probably because they are in the same key, it sounds like. I like the guitars on ‘Wake Me Up’ with the single strums, and the high hat, that does sixteenth notes, with the snare and kick, doing the beat. I don’t know why in the heck Billy Currington put the stupid drum machines on the song ‘Summer Forever’, the song isn’t a good song for these drum machines, the drum machines don’t fit on it, especially when they go throughout the whole dang song. I don’t like it. I like the summertime beats on songs like ‘Drinkin’ Town With a Football Problem’, ‘Do I Make You Wanna' and ‘Good Night’. I guess ‘Nowhere Town’ also has a summer beat, even if nothing else on the song sounds good. I like the muffled guitars on songs like ‘Drinkin’ Town With a Football Problem’, on top of that fast beat. One of the guitars on ‘Soundtrack’ has a really bad tone to it, and that’s not the only problem with that song, I already talked about the problems, though. That song is a disaster. After all, the album I guess, turned out good. It wasn’t my favorite album ever, but it wasn’t horrible.

Other than Don't it, Drinkin Town, It Don't Hurt, and Soundtrack, this is straight crap. Not the same Billy that we all love.

Best album I've ever bought... By far. I love FGL, Cheif, and Chris Stapleton's albums but this one is the best. Never gets old. Do I Make You Wanna is the best song.

Billy has a strong, soulful voice. One of the best voices in country music. I wish his confidence would come through in interviews so he could get to the next level. But I'm sure he's not complaining! This album is great. Creative. Contemporary. Artistic. ''It don't hurt like it used to" is the best song he's released yet!
  • BC just fell into the lame, same old pop country sink hole

If you want tracks that don't feature true country musicians, that are overly produced, lack musical creativity, and have no country reminance, or feel... then go ahead and purchase this album. I used to be a huge BC fan, but nothing in this album speaks country, it's all studio musicians, and over produced vocals. Very sad.
