This concert absolutely blew my mind! Chester and Mike got the vocals down perfect. The guitar had the best tone that could have been used for any concert. It matched the music so perfectly. Some of those songs, such as One Step Closer, sound better than the actual recorded version (in my opinion). Chester and Mike showed a lot of emotion to this concert and that is what made it so great. Best concert I have ever heard in my life, hands down!

2003 was a pretty big year for the hit nu-metal / rap band Linkin Park. Having successfully released their 2nd studio album Meteora, they set off on a two year world tour to promote the record. Midway through the first year of the tour during the famous Summer Sanitarium Tour, they filmed two shows and recorded it onto this CD/DVD package for the fans to hear how their work was going. With songs from both of their albums (Hybrid Theory and Meteora), and the Reanimation version of "Pushing Me Away" the fans were sure as hell to be stoked. Linkin Park did not disappoint. Live in Texas delivers the powerful energy of a live show and captures the band at one of their best times. This is definately a big bench mark in LP history. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because while the band performance was excellent, Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda's vocals did seem a little bit forced and more studio-like than live. Overall though, great DVD!
